Fees

Fees for therapy reflect the 2023 recommended fee schedule set by the Psychologists' Association of Alberta.

Individual/Family Session/Parent Consultation: $220.00 (based on a 50 minute session) 

*NOTE: We provide a sliding scale if the family qualifies as either low-income OR has no insurance coverage. Fees range from $120-$220 per hour based on gross household annual income.

We provide direct billing for the following providers/EAP's under our parent company, Family Counselling Centres:
Alberta Blue Cross, Green Shield, Great West Life, Homewood Health, HumanaCare, Aspiria, Arete, ComPsych and Family Support for Children with Disabilities Program (FSCD). 

Payment is due at the time that services are rendered and can be paid by Visa or Mastercard.

Fees for psychological services may be claimed under tax deductible health care expenses on your income tax return. Additionally, many of our services are covered by private insurance. Please inquire with your health insurance provider regarding the details of your coverage. It is up to the client to check which mental health services and mental health professionals are specifically included in their company's agreement. Receipts are issued at the time of payment, and can be used to obtain a reimbursement from your insurance company for the services received. However, obtaining reimbursement from an insurance company is the responsibility of the client. When contacting your insurance company for details of your coverage, be sure to verify:
 

  • That psychological or counselling services are covered by your policy

  • If the insurer pays a set amount per visit, a portion of the fee per visit, or a total amount independent of sessions

  • If only a certain amount of time is allotted for each visit

  • Who is covered

  • If you need a physician’s referral

  • What the procedure is for reimbursement (i.e., direct bill or client pays and submits receipts)
     

Please note that a full session fee will be applied if an appointment is missed or cancelled without notifying us 48 hours in advance.
